Are original radio bezels for 66 chevelle gold or silver?
I have seen gold "NOS" bezels, but original cars and even restored cars that I have seen sport the silver bezels?
Which would be correct for Diamond certification type restoration?

I can't answer proof positive, but I have NEVER seen anything other than Silver/Chrome Plastic.

I just replaced my original 66 radio bezel, glove box bezel and speedo trim all were in bad shape but they were chrome/silver color.

Is this based on personal experience?
I have one original bezel that is gold, and one NOS that is also gold.
How do you explain these gold bezels if no such animal exists?
Is this one of those 66 chevelle debates that no one can definitively answer? Do you recommend that I go with the silver bezel?
Thanks

Trust me on this one! If Mike says no such animal, I wouldn't lay any money against it. Believe me, He just definitively answered your question.

Well Thanks for the kind words Rocky.. I don't mind someone questioning anything I say, I am by no means the last or final word on anything.. that said.. yes, I would say that my statement is based on personal experience.. the experience of years of research and looking at many many 66 SS and 67 SS cars and never, not once seeing any Gold Knobs.. have seen what the other fella said.. gold after the silver wears away.. but no such animal.. I stick by that. If you have an NOS one.. it is likely for a diff. car., so hopefully I don't have to spell this out, but just in case.. Yes, go with the silver ;) and No, this is not a 66 Debate unless someone wants to make it one :p
