Getting nervous guy's ............. Car sat for about a year and a half, intstalled my new Tremec TKO Trans.

Excited to take it for another test drive last week, ............ NOT !!! water in the oil !!!! Take the heads off, no apparent obvious signs of leaking ???

Gaskets are 14 years old, they are Fel-Pro 8180-PT stainless steel core gaskets ...... The car never sat for that long before either ??? Garaged all of the time, even through the winters here !! Freinds all say it is the head gaskets, that upon cooldown after the maiden test cruse 3 weeks ago they leaked.

Your Thoughts Guy's ????

At this point I cannot see that the Block could be cracked ??? It had anti freeze in it the whole time, all of the core plugs are in excellent shape ???

I have to go ahead and install these new gaskets 8180-PT-2's and keep my fingers crossed .................... !!!

Any suggestions or sealants I should use on the gaskets, heating and cooling cycles I need to do for the gaskets ...............

Thanks Guy's;

I just do not want to put this baby back together and have it leak again !!!! Then I will have to believe it could be the block ................. !!!!

could just as easily be a crack in the heads, or even warpage in the sealing surfaces of the heads or block.

Could be drooling down from the intake manifold, too, where it seals to the intake face of the head.

I'd have put a pressure tester on the cooling system and tried to actually see the leak. Sometimes you get lucky that way, and have a visual confirmation.
