I probably posted this in the wrong section before. Here goes, I Installed solenoids, I barely need to put in poppers but it couldnt hurt, it should have it I guess. Where exactly do these go? I would think just by the door latch somewhere on the body of the car. These are heavy duty, good for popping doors open, but does it make it harder to shut the door?
Any quick help would be greatful!

the newest custom rodder (july 04) has a thing in there about the auto loc remote entry system.. they said....

"for one,the doors opened sufficiently (this is on a 53 chev) with the solenids alone, but mainly becuase there wasnt room in the rear door jamb,if you wanted, they could be better utilized in the forward doorjamb."

i would recommend picking up this issue of custom rodder or visit there site at www.customrodder.com (http://www.customrodder.com)

I have found that new door weatherstriping is usually enough to pop the door past the latch. Only time I ever had to use poppers was on a 34 Ford 3 window.
Are you keeping the original inside door handle hooked up? If so,think about cutting the handle return spring out. Less force for the opener to work against. Use a weaker spring if felt needed.
