Ive found some references to the stuff, and from all I can find it seems to be the best rust converter out there. It's not a POR/Rustbullet type thing. It supposedly converts the rust chemically leaving behind a zinc coating that prevents re-flashing of rust and promotes adhesion of paint and increases weld strengh due to lack of micro-rust on surface to contaminate the weld.

wow, sounds nice.

It's pricey, but it seems a small ammount goes a long way.

Sounds alot like Eastwoods Oxisolve, but better.

Opinions? I was thinking of getting some to try.

I was researching this too, but don't know anything about it. Want to reply to bring back to the top.

This product sounds a bit like a "Naval Jelly & POR-15's Metal Ready" combination.... I would have like to see the company list some user's or companies that use the product.

Is it more snake oil ??? 10+ years ago I treated some metal with POR-15 (following guidelines) and still as it good today as it was then... It would be nice to hear from user's of pickleX and get some real world feedback.

Hmmmmmm

A google search turns up a few compaies that seem to swear by the regular picklex, but thats not really marketed towards end users, the '20 is supposed to be the version for folks like us that need a smaller ammount thats easily applied.

What I like is the claim that once it dries, it leaves a coating that does not need to be removed that promotes good adhesion of paints.

sounds like just the ticket, cleaned with this and sealed over with some POR or normal paint (depending on what youre doing) and you'd have a rust-proof part no matter what.
