You can't go wrong with Bilstein's or Koni's. I have had Bilstein's and Koni's and they both are great shock with the nod to Koni from me for the ability to change the damping as they are adjustable.

I switched from KYB's to the edelbrocks and wow what a difference. Spend alittle more money and buy the good ones right away, you won't be sorry.

I will try a set of Bilsteins next time my KYB's need replacement - I just received one back from Summit for warranty replacement.
The Bilsteins sell for approx. $80 each around here, but if the performance is there, then the price difference is worth the extra cost compared to KYB.

I have a set of standard, over the counter, Monroe $50.00 each "Gasmatic" shocks. Can you really feel the ride quality diference with the Edelbrocks? I love the power in my SS but it feels every bump. I must admit I liked the Edelbrocks better when they were bright red (haha).

Does anyone here have experience with shocks (other than guessing) or should I repost in the general forum? I am trying to follow the rules but it appears to the the same 27 people who are always signed on to this forum.

I just (3 weeks ago) did a front end rebuild and put the Edelbrock Performer shocks in and Holy S**t what a difference. It rides and handles like a new car. Oh-ya, I kept the same springs.
