Nick I have always heard that only Malibus were used..no 300's for the COPO L-72 cars. All the Vins registered for the approx 323 COPO cars are all 13637 cars. This is not to say it is not a COPO, but it would be the first one found! Need good factory paper to beleive it. WOuld be a very COOL ride!! Big $$$

Hi Nick, I am the guy in Titusville that has the Yenko Chevelle and the 300 Post Car. The 1969 300 Post Car is the car that Chuck Hanson owned. It was also one of the feature cars on Dream Car Garage last season. It is not a COPO it is a 375hp car. Next time you are in Titusville give me a call and come check them out. As far as I know there were no 300 COPO's.Now my question is who was the guy who stumbled into your office???

Nick, I know Rob I saw him about two weeks ago he new someone in my backyard that had a cool car collection. I think Rob knows everyone. Don Lightfoot was a big help to me on the 300 car after I bought it. GREAT GUY. Give me a call anytime.
Von, I am not sure about the guy in Greencastle but I did buy the car from Legendary Motorcars.
Ok Dave, I have never had a mutton chop or whiskers. I don’t think I could grow that much hair anymore! Well maybe in my ears or nose.

Does that post car have a blue vinyl interior? Somewhere on the internet I saw a picture and the interior appeared blue. My understanding from GM literature that the all vinyl was only available in black. I don't have a lot of faith in the GM stuff because they had a habit of changing specs. as they went along.

Yes Keith its Blue, I thought that kinda off beat also, but this car has tons of paper work, Chuck Hanson went through it all and it all checked out, very rare car.

If that Lemans Blue 300 is the one with blue 300 Deluxe interior and Malibu door panels, that car was posted om the Legendary Motorcars website in September 2004. The text from the ad went like this:

"1969 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 Deluxe

Ultra Rare L78 Post Chevelle SS
Build in Kansas City Missouri and sold new at Mallone Chevrolet Company in Tonganoxie, Kansas. Lemans blue exterior with blue bench seat interior. Powered by a numbers matching L78 396/375hp engine, 4speed transmission and a "KF" positraction 3.55 rear axle. Options and accessories include domed hood, power disc brakes, sport wheels, chambered exhaust, smog, and more. Only a handful of 1969 L78 Chevelle 300 Deluxe SS cars were ever produced, and this is one that has survived with only 31,000 original miles. This car has benefited from a full complete frame-off nut and bolt restoration. A complete binder of documention including protecto plate, M.S.O. pictures of restoration, past title and ownership history, and more. A very rare find. "

The car also has a cushion rim sport steering wheel that looks like it was from a Corvette (bright ring around the rim). As for the blue interior, it is actually cloth and vinyl. I have 20 pictures that I downloaded from the Legendary site at the time.

Hi Dave, I had a great experience with Legendary. They did everything they said they would do, and more.

300s are neat cars (ok, I am a little biased). Too bad we can't get door panels etc. I think I recall seeing hte car on the net when at LMC, very nice to say the least.

Dave: I see you are in BC - I live about an hour and change away from LMC, let me know if I can help.
