I have a 72 chevelle that doesnt have power brakes on it at time. Later on i plan on doing a disk conversion. It has all drums right now. I was wondering what it would take to convert this system to power brakes. Could i order just the power booster and install it, or would i need to get other parts. Any help will greatly be appreciated.

To do just the power conversion would require the booster and new master cylinder. If you want to switch over to front discs, you will need to get the rotors, calipers, and caliper brackets. You can use your stock spindles, they will just need some grinding to get the brackets to bolt up. Oh, and you will also need a new proportion valve.

This is a good read on the front and rear disc conversion.

Good luck!

do you think that i could pull enough vacuum to run power brakes, im running a motor with a 490 lift cam, so it is pretty lopey and i was reading that this might affect it, any suggestions?
