Not sure how front drivers window is attached to the regulator. Is it a rubber piece that pinches
glass then is pinched by metal part of regulator.
There is a bolt & retainer setup for rear part.
Can you get the rubber piece anywhere if thats what it is. Thanks for any help in advance.

Joe, most of the Chevelles had rollers that bolted to the glass through holes in the glass along the lower edge. Most Chevelle restoration parts places sell replacement parts. We made a tool to remove the rollers out of a length of steel and two screws to fit into the slots, works like magic.

I have a 68 El Camino and the window keeps seperating from the regulator. There are no holes in the window for a bolt to go through, however, there is a rubber piece which looks like it is supposed to hold the window in place. Please let me know if there is a way to permanently attach the window to the regulator. Thank you very much for your time.

On my 68 chevelle there was a hole in the glass int he back where you had to bolt the window to a piece of frame. This frame had a roller on it, that window was pinched inbetween the piece of rubber in the frame but the bolt is what actually holds it in.
