Going to order a complete Parchment Interior for my '69 and just get it over with (at this point what's another month off the road). Figure it's just as easy to order the complete kit, from what I have read, GU Super kit is probably what I need.

Have you guys used mostly unassembled door panels or do you recommned the assembled panels? Most likely, I will have a local upholstery shop install the seat covers and I could have them assemble the door panels to my original panel hardware if I went with the unassembled panels - this may give me a better fit. Have to double check if the headrest covers are included, hopefully they are as I would just like to replace the entire interior and be done with it.

Any suggestions?

I'd suggest buying the assembled door panels myself after reading posts here about the unassembled door panels being a handful.

I've installed the unassembled door panels. The fronts aren't too bad but the rears with the curved upped pad are a PITA to get installed without wrinkles. You must have time and patience. Use only the 3M HD spray glue. The cheap stuff won't hold.

So the assembled panels are a good fit? For the difference I was thinking of getting the unassembled and paying the upholstery shop to fit them up to my original hardware. Maybe it's a mute point. Not really looking to save money, but to get the best fit/finish.

I agree with the you on the unassembled although every year of Chevelle different for sure on66/67 the way to go ...... may I suggest you give James Hinshaw a call, not only does he sell PUI interiors but he does Chevelle interior restorations in his shop ........he will give you good advice on what brand and on a 69 what door panels to buy .his prices are good more important he's a Chevelle guy and supports all the regional shows as well as CB

Google "Hinshaws chevelle" for his site and phone number ........I think closed fridays if he has a show to go to
