I replaced my rear springs a couple weeks ago on my 72 and the car is sitting higher than I expected. I purchased the springs as OEM replacements. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the stock height on the rear of a 72 actually had no gap between tire and fenderwell and the fenderwell actually covered an inch of the rear wheel or so. Mine has a gap of about 2 inches. I don't have a spare tire in the trunk.....That could account for some of the height I suppose.
