My '71 Malibu has front disc/rear drums and they are not an original part of the car. I had to order a proportioning valve from acdelcodirect.com. The one I have is p/n 172-1354.

I need to find a plug that I can adapt to my dash board brake lamp to warn me incase a problem with the brake system exists.

Since the one on my car will not fit I'm curious as to what year did the plugs change? What cars can I get this plug for the proportioning valve so I can make everything work like it's supposed to?

They don't bother stocking porp valves with the older switch in them. What you will probably get is a later 70s style. Look around at the mid to late 70s Nova/Camaro. Should be able to get a connector to fit off one of those.
