I beleive what I need here is some body bushings.

If the hood is open staring down there are 2 rubber bushings where the body meets the frame one on each side toward the front of the car.

My question is "where do i get these for a 68 chevelle? Do I have to buy a whole kit just to replace these front ones?

Thanks!

Those are the core support bushings and I think you can buy them seperate from the whole body bushing kit. Check with Ground Up for them

I'd be really surprised if body bushings didn't need replacing. You should check them.

where are they located and how much of a pain in the A** are they to replace?

They are a major pain and they are located everywhere the body touches the frame. Acctually, the body isn't supposed to touch the frame, these bushings go between the body and the frame. Long bolts go up, through the bushings and frame, into the "cage" nuts attached to the body. Search this site for instructions on checking and replacing. There's tons of info on how.

Good Luck.
