I am goint to have my entire car painted. I know the firewall and inner fenders are semi-gloss black, but what is the correct color of the bottom of the hood. If it is black also, where do you draw the line between body color and black?

The underside of the hood is painted black. The outside edges are painted body color and the inside edges, of the lip, are painted black, same as the hood underside.

a good semi-gloss is avaliable from your local John Deere tractor dealer, its called "Blitz Black" The Caterpillar dealers have one also its called "Low Gloss Black". It is a great low cost paint for underhood areas and frames, been using it for years, heck if it is tough enough for heavy equipment its tough enough for our "Heavy Chevys" http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif Merry Christmas to everyone.
