Im about to order an exhaust sytem from Jegs. Its a 2.5" for my 307. How are the mufflers that come with it and how easy is the Jegs to install? Im ordering 2.5'' downpipes for my stock manifolds and i have no idea what else to order (flanges,reducers,etc)to be able to connect the sytem to the downpipes

anyone? i want to order the exhaust today if its worth buying. Its $166

I bought their header back system, the kit comes complete with all the clamps, hangers etc. onlything it doesnt come with is pictures to install. I got crossed up on the pipe that goes over the rear. I thought it came out of the muffler and bent up and out but nothing lined up after that finally a friend figured it goes up and IN and then the exit works great! I have one side that the tail pipe sits higher but I think it was me that messed up I can rehang it but Im having too much fun driving it right now to worry about it. but over all its worth it. and its fairly quiet too. JIm

Nice system "for the money". I too wish it came with the instructions or pictures. For some reason I thought the system was to dump behind the rear tire on my '65. I had a heck of a time figuring out the bends and come to find out it went straight out back. The mufflers have a nice rumble at idle and does quiet down during driving.

If I had to do it all over, I would have let a muffler shop do mine the way I really wanted and it would have also come out nicer/tighter to the body then the way I did mine. This was my 1st tailpipe job and I did a few booboo's that will be avoided next time. However I had a limited budget at the time, so I'm fine with what I have. Yes it comes complete with all hangers, but I welded my system up.

I bought a set for my Sprint, after the guy I talked to assured me they would fit. Sure enough, 4" too short. Easy fix with an extension between headers and mufflers...

One more thing....would it benefit me to run a 2.25'' system over the 2 .50''? The only downpipe i can find is 2.50''. Can i still run the 2.25 with a larger downpipe?

You can get a reducer, I think summit sells the 2 1/4 system for 129 so you could save a few bucks. I went with the 2.5 from jegs because of the 454 in the car. JIm
