Somewhere in that area should be the blower motor speed resistor. I think there was also a recent discussion about a thermal sensor over there as well.

My bro said that theres a hose that goes from that to the blower motor. and that makes since cause my supra has one that goes from the same place to the back of the blower motor. I guess to cool the motor down during use.

Bluechevelless there is a plastic part that attaches to that hole. The plastic part has a tube coming off it in the direction of the blower motor. There is then a rubber hose that connects the two. I am told this is to provide air that cools the blower motor.

This is correct...You must have this part if you will be using the blower motor.

Danny ~ Have you found one yet? I knew I had a spare somewhere and it just surfaced. It includes the plastic piece that screws onto the box - I suspect you'll see a small hole next to the large one - and the screw. It isn't perfect, but better than none and yours if you need it. Let me know.

Hit the salvage yards, as that part is probably shared by a zillion GM cars for many years.

No need to hit the salvage yards, just send me your address.
