Ok guys, i'm back! :) new starter put in, it is the correct one, here is the deal after it was installed the car still had some trouble starting but started easier than with my old starter in it, so i thought all was good for a while, so i drove it off and on for a day and it started fine, well now at a friends house it just completely stopped starting, almost as if i didnt replace the starter (makes the grinding noise again, but not same sounding as the old starter) so i got some tips on trying to start it and having the flywheel teeth catch on and start the car, well that didn't do it. Tried that 100x and NEVER budged once, so it looks like its my starter, i think that, and a few others agree that it is my starter, i am going to look at it tommrow and jack it up but for right now i wanted to know if anyone could confirm my idea on it being the starter, i think it was just shimed wrong, since its not catching on the teeth i am pretty confident if i readjust the shim and get it to be alined correctly with the flywheel i probably won't have any problems with my starter anymore, i just wanted some suggestions just to point me in the right direction on getting it right this time so i don't have to keep readjusting the shim. thanks guys
