My 72 Malibu 350 (2 door) is in need of a new Chassis.. I just wanted to kno if a 4 door or even a wagon frame could work??

The 2 door has a wheelbase of 112 inches and the el camino, wagon and 4 door have 116 inch wheelbase. Not much chance to interchange with your 2 door.

I have already cut them down to fit
the side rails can be cut down
but you have to watch out not to twist the frame when welding it back together
it is alot of work
but can be done

best way is to *jig up a fixture* so that when it is cut, if that is the way you go, you can match them and keep it from twisting. lots of clamps and a flat surface and blocks where they need to be....

yes it can be done, good luck- ive done this to equipment- and have seen rails extended on 32 roadsters- we have the technology .....:beers:
