'69 Chevelle.
Front fenders just don't seem to "look right" (they seem to bow out too far at top of wells, one has been cut/patched at lower quarter). Want to at least run a budget on replacement since car will have to be painted at some point anyway.
Any suggestions or experiences with '69s? Goodmark? Others?

From what I have heard, none fit like the originals. There are 2 sets of NOS on ebay right now for 1000, and 1250. Goodmarks makes and OK fender as far as I know.

Do a search for user MARTINSR. I don't remember the exact name of the post...something like "Panel Basics" or "Basics of Basics" or something like that. but he describes how to hang and adjust fenders to remove the "bow". It help me to put the entire front end back on mine and looks perfect.

Here's Mr. Martins post (http://www.chevelles.com/forum/Forum3/HTML/004800.html) I saved it when he first posted it, and it's been an invaluable aid for all body panel replacement. Dennis

70isfine... That is absolutely true. I do not have the part numbers in front of me, but I know YenkoChevelle69 has them cause he gave em to me. I calleed a local GM delearship and they are still available for just over $400.00 each, and I can get em in at least 3 days.

Check out the price at GMpartdirect.com I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Supposed to be GM too ....but I'll bet they are made by Goodmark.

I was wondering that too.Are the dealers selling true NOS fenders or GM restoration parts(repros)?I guess you can check the part #.GM Partsdirect is supposed to be ALL new GM parts only.I bought rocker moldings and door handles form them, half expecting them to show up in an OER package, but they were true blue(and white)GM.
