I am thinking about having window decals made up for us Chevelle enthusiast.
I get a number of comments made on my window decal on my truck ...so I thought hummm maybe it could be adapted to the Chevelle crowd .
The one on the truck is about 12 in across .. see photo
but I had some smaller samples made up... 6 in across x 4 in high (see example pic)
silver metal flake ... I need dimensions of the vent window to make some smaller ones at 3 inch from the bottom of the vent window what is the width ???
If there's interest in these I will have a bunch made up ... cost of coerce will be by size and quantity ...the larger the more they cost and quantity gets cheaper ... might look good on the old tool box .
so your opinion is needed here ... and body interested ???

BUT, IMO,

I do not like THAT graphic style... Those cross-flags do not look like anything that ever came on a Chevelle, they look more like Corvette flags... Same with the circle, looks okay for your company logo, but there's nothing that really ties it into a Chevelle... Too generic...

I'd rather see something along the lines of "SS" (even though not everybody has an SS... Maybe "SS" with engine sizes under the SS, or "Chevelle" under the SS (kind of like the SS emblems (66-72) with the engine size under it, WITHOUT the flags, and without the "curved" engine size...

Since I am a BB guy, I'd prefer the 65-67 BB "Turbo Jet" flags, Maybe instead of "Turbo Jet", you could place "CHEVELLE" in that space, and offer different engine sizes (not just the 396/427 as the factory emblem do)... No SS needed...

or maybe 65-70 BB "Air Cleaner" cross-flags (but different engine sizes)...

well I am not up on all the different emblems on the cars .. but I have to be carfull here not to get in trouble with exact copies of G.M stuff ... you know what I am saying , CANT HAVE THE EXACT MONIQUE AS G.M. USES .
The Chevy bow tie symbol is everywhere and a bit over used ...so thats what I came up with ... for the good of the club i was thinking of getting these done to slap on a tool box or window .

I'll kick in my 2cts........ bottem of vent window has 8" of clean glass it is also 10" tall ... with my protractor making circles I figure a 3 3/4 round emblem would fit very nicely spaced so as to have an even amount of glass around it now all you've got to do is come up with a emblem everyone agrees on :D

Personally-I like to see cars without decals.

SS 454, flags OK with me, as long as it says Chevelle. If its round, 3" to 4" dia. If square, or rectangular 3 X 4 or so..I'm looking at the side window..

As there wider than tall I will have to have some smaller ones made up with 454 ... these are 6 inch wide and 4 inch tall

just put them on e/bay a few min's ago.

I'd be more interested if the Chevelle was written in something like the script lettering that they had.

what about the non SS and small block guys?

Keep in mind this was a first sample ... there are so many fonts to go trough and you know these graphic people they dont want you in front of there computer searching fonts all day long ...i would like something better also .

Do ya thing just Chevelle and nothing at the bottom ... there could be 4 versions ... its up to you guys no SS ... And just engine sizes 350 396 454 502 ... keep the idea's comming .

you can pic fonts or send a scetch or call to have them make you up something .
this was a first draft , and I will have a few different ones made up .

With Chevelle at the top and different engine sizes at the bottom .

thats the best I can do.... He charges me $4.50 each 4 inch tall 6 inch wide .... I will make a list of how many with what engine size and so on .

Good luck trying to please everyone. Your going to need a whole catolog of stickers at the rate its going. I liked your 396 one posted earlier.

If you were to get anything that is too close or similiar to a GM logo or anything like that, then you get into the possibility of getting into trouble with copyright issues. I dont mind the logo you have but its really not my thing.

I have found that trying to please anyone is a bit of a problem .
and as long as I am not copying true G.M stuff copy write issues wont be a problem ... this was all thought out before I designed my company logo .

I learned from another fellas mistake . hence no exact emblems .
perhapts I should have said heres a window decal or toolbox sticker on e/bay rather then trying to help the guys out that might want something different .

I may still have some different ones printed and just put them on e/bay ...it was worth a try to give the guys here atleast something that might be cool on a tool box or window .
