Dropped pan to change TV cable. It appears that .. the filter tube is a pressed fit into trans. Just yank and pull to remove filter? Thanks

You got it. The filter tube may or may not have a rubber seal on the end of it. I think all the filter kits have this seal. My old van never used the seal because it had one inside the hole and if I tried to put the seal on the tube, it wouldn't go in.
