All the best places are full. The Days Inn has parking "across the street" in a strip-mall. THis doesn't sound too great to me. Has anyone stayed there before? Anyone staying there this year?

Thanks all. I'll try to get this straight tonight. BillL, I'll let you know. And I'll check Chevytalk for okee-1 (I tried to sign up for Chevytalk after coming from CB05 and I think it was not working).
Last year was my first year at CB and this year I wanted to
1. Make the TC photo, and
2. Get close to the BW parking lot and bring lots of free beer ;).

I'm gonna be at the track Thursday night for sure, I owe Bill a diet Coke, havent decided if I'm bringing the car or not, might have to sleep in my truck next to Bills car in the parking lot :) Gotta be home Saturday to run points at my home track. All the rooms in that area seem to be full, not sure why ;)

Bob,

If'n my girlfriend doesn't come along, your welcome to sleep in my room at the best western on thursday night. I will be bringing my car up there, but I don't plan to race. The past few time I went, I've raced it. I wind up making it a few rounds in and get beatin' by someone that is way better at it than I am. All the while, I miss out on seeing a lot of great chevelles muscle it down the track. I'll save my burnouts for the parking lot. :D

Thanks for the offer Mike, my 13 yo son will be with me also, he can sleep in the truck while I indulge in an adult beverage or 2 :D. Do all these motels have plenty of parking for truck and trailer?

yes and no. they do, but a good deal of people get there on Wednesday and most decide to leave their trailers at the hotel parking lot along with their tow-rigs. Come evening time, those parking lots get full quick!

I do know that the Best-Western (party central) is directly across from a grocery store / shopping center and it's parking lot gets a few trailers each year.

Plenty of trailer parking at the Holiday Inn Express (Baymont)...we use the warehouse lot directly behind the hotel. Fenced and guarded, too. You could always park your rig there Bob and "commute" with the Chevelle. ;)

Are any of these hotels going to have security at night? I'm sure many cars will be parked outside and I don't to worry about getting up the next morning and finding one or two missing...

The security is all of the folks in the parking lots staying up & BSing all night. The motel parking lots look like they did in the 60's & 70's with all of the Chevelles parked there. This is one place where I have no fear leaving my car in the lot at night, don't worry, yours will be safe.
