Does anyone know if these are available anywhere ? I need the metal clip for one of them and most of them have the clips come loose when I try to remove them. It's a little frustrating when the bulb falls into the speedometer. On one the crimped on piece on the wire has pulled off, but I think I might be able to solder it. Thanks

69 sockets really suck don't they.
You have to be very carefull to get them out in one piece so the lamps don't fall down in the cluster, but of course it's too late to tell you that now. :(
I had good luck epoxying mine back together.
I might be able to find a couple of left overs (it's been awhile)
if you can't find any.

is "EPOXYING" a word?

i think putting my cluster back together using those bulb sockets was the single most aggravating thing about the whole job..I had replaced every bulb, everything was working, lit up like a christmas tree....then upon install, bulbs falling inside, one bulb socket got the wires torn out of it.. a real PIA...patience (lots of it) will help, dont expect to rush through it, and having a friend to help will make your life easier.

At one point I was just gonna leave the bulbs inside the gauge cluster rather than remove the cluster to get them out. Then another fell in, then another. Pretty soon I had to get the bulbs out or go buy more bulbs! :clonk:

When I did mine I went to AutoZone and got all new sockets. They had them in the bubble packed "HELP" area. The ones they sell DON'T COME APART. Replaced them all and forgot about chasing the bulbs and parts. A little money, a LOT of ease in installation.

Thanks guys, I'll try Auto Zone. Those things are a PIA ! I was able to fish one bulb out but the other is gone for good, unless I want to disassemble the cluster. It won't happen unless the bulb is rattling around or causing some other problem.

Another tip, I used a hot glue gun and put just a spot on each one to the case. It will hold it for installation, but it can be torn loose to change bulb in the future.
