you know how after a while you get those white deposit things on your aluminum wheels...(they look like little white bumpy zits)who knows a good remedy to getting them off without scratching them up or a good cleaner that will take them off????

Jlone , first we need to know if your wheels are clear coated or polished alum. Most likely what you'r experiencing is corrosion from a salt environment.
if they are clear coated and what you are seeing is the clear separating from the wheel via a chip and coroding between
I have no suggestions for that short of stripping and recoating the wheels
If your wheels are polished I've had good luck polishing out the spots with "Fitz" brand soft metal polish or "Mothers" brand alum polish It will take a lot of elbo-grease
also try waxing your wheels (if your not allready) this may help in fighting the corrosion

Like tbl said, you need to determine what you're starting with.
If they are old aluminum rims, they probably won't have the clear coat. Then the severity of the finish will determine what you'll use.
I pulled some vintage alum. wheels from a bone yard where they'd been sitting for years. So this might be the worst case scenario. I got Castrol Super clean wheel cleaner because it contained acids. I used this and a skotch brite pad and the rims look real good (dull silver). Next time on them I will file/lightly grind the curbing marks and them use wet/dry sand paper. Followed by the buff wheel.
If you have a nice finish with some blemished then start mild, like Mothers and see how that works. Progressively get rougher with them until you get the results you want.
