I have a 67ss with A/c and now with a 402. I have installed the correct short water pump. I purchased a 7 blade clutch fan that is supposed to be correct for 67 big block with a/c. It was too large for my existing plastic shroud. Shroud fan hole measured 19" and the fan is about 19.3 at largest point. I purchased a supposedly "correct" shroud from OPGI as they told me the hole was 19.5". The shroud I got was the same as the one I had with the 19" hole. Tech at year one told me the correct fan was a 5 blade, 18" diameter unit. My question is what fan is really correct? Also the SWP will accept either small or large bolt circle diameter fan but the correct pulley (which I have) is small diameter bolt circle (1.75').

As per the '67 Features and Specifications Manual, the standard fan for non a/c cars is a 4-blade, 17.6" fan. Cars with a/c, or simply cars with the optional K02 temperature-controlled fan, came with a 5-blade, 18" fan.

The large 7-blade affair you were sent sounds like a later style, but I'm not sure offhand if the switch came in '68 when the crossflow rad replaced the downflow style, or in '69 when the long waterpump came along.
