Was searching ebay and came across these. They are 305 HO heads and was wondering if they would be worth buying for my 283 build that i will be doing during the winter. Unfortunatly the guy doesn't know much about them so it doesn't say what size valvles it has.

The world products S/R series are pretty good out of the box and cost right around $600 last time I checked. I would go through them before final assembly just to be sure. If there is something wrong, don't hesitate to call Bill Mitchell. IMO, if you have to re work the used heads it could cost almost as much as the New heads or even more. And you will also be taking a chance because it could be cracked.

Saw those.....I'm curious about that 400hp 305 those stock heads were going on LOL.

what he means by a 400hp 305 is it was usd as a starter for a 454.. technically it made 400hp by starting the other motor:D

I know of a few pump gas 327s but no 305s. I have a set of SRs that I had worked over with full porting. PM me if interested in price and specs.
