: Adhesive for Chrome Door Panel Trim?

I used liquid nails to attach the chrome strip that runs horizontally the length of the door panel. That was about a week ago, last night the passenger side fell off. I realize this is probably not the adhesive of choice, however, it had to be better than my next best "on hand" option, Elmers School Glue.

Since there are no fasteners, what is commonly used to attach this piece to the vinyl?

What i use for my chrome strips is 2 sided tape all you have to make sur is that ur surface is really clean

I have some that is really quite sticky, at least when it sticks to itself. Never crossed my mind to use it for this though. I'll give it a try, thanks.

i went to a paint shop and bought a tube of gm trim adhesive, had it for years,it has more uses than a screwdriver and the funny part is the tube never seems to go empty

Good ideas. I was just about to start a new post asking how to attach this stainless trim to the door panels, but the GM trim adhesive sounds like a good idea. Anyone with anything better please let me know. Thanks.

3M products available at automotive paint supply stores and upholstery supply stores specializing in automaotive upholstery...comes in a tube and runs about $8 I think...there are several different types you want some emblem adhesive...be careful with the application on your door panels as the stuff can 'melt' the vinyl...
