Does anyone know if the original 1969 396/375 Chevelle Power Steering pump cap was metal or plastic? Most of the ones you see on the cars are the plastic replacments but I did see a 69 396/375 with a metal cap.

We just had our P/S metal cap chromed along with the P/S brackets. They were able to dip the cap with the rubber seal and plastic dip stick attached.

Every power steering reservoir cap for 69 that I have come across has been the metal cap. I've owned four 69 Chevelles with original power steering pumps that had metal caps. Hope this helps.
