I bought new fenders and they dont have holes
for the ss emblems can somebody help me with the measurements on were to drill holes for the new
ss emblems on a 1970 elcamino.I need to know the
measurements from the bottom of the fender to
the emblem and the side of the fender to the
emblem.THANKS

I have a 71 assembly manual that has the pic of the SS f/fender location in it.I can fax a copy but do not have a scanner to e-mail you one.

Well a while ago there was a guy on here who had a template and measurements made up that he mailed me and a few other people. Being the unorganized lazy bum that I am, I seem to have misplaced them at the moment. He was a very great and helpful person and I'm sure if I remembered his name or he saw this post he would most likely mail you the template for mounting the emblems. If anybody else remembers what or who I'm talking about just chime in. You may want to do a search also, you might find the post.

Easy now J, I have a reputation as being "evil" to maintain ;) . Handy little items to have, aren't they? :D Actually, if you're gonna fax them just be careful that the fax machine doesn't "resize" them on you.

lol Evil 'eh? Well anybody that goes out of their way to help another Chevelle guy is OK in my book. Just figured I'd pass the love around. I will make sure whoever I send them to checks them to make sure they're full size, if not I can mail them out as well if you dont mind.
