I just got a "69 Chevelle and it needs some repair. The rear fenders are rusted at the flares and the inner tubs are rusted out at the lower edges. The inner tubs will need replacing. Both inner and outter tubs on left and outter on the right. How tough is it to remove and replace these? I am hoping to do them myself. I have experience doing sheetmetal repair on aircraft so I am not totally clueless. Will the body shift when cutting the rear quarters and therefore need to be braced before cutting? I wish I could post a picture. The quarters are not bad but the tubs have holes at lower rear.

You need to go into some of these Guys web sites and you'll see these quarters removed in different stages of replacement, never seen any bracing. Check www.chevelleboys.com (http://www.chevelleboys.com) go thru there stuff it will blow your mind that they actually start restoreing cars some guys would throw away on the Westcoast.

Thanx, Hi-po. The rust aint real bad but a bit of cutting and welding will be required on my '69.
