For my 68 El Camino, 327, 4 speed. General driving, with minor "show off"s. The standard replacement seems to go for $125 while a Centerforce seems to go for approx $250. Should i just spend the extra money and not worry?

thx

When I built my car I went with Zoom. In less than a year I switched to a C/F df 12". That is all I will use now. Mike

With your setup and driving plan. You don't need to spend the extra $$$$$$$. A stock 11" clutch will be more that enough for you.

I am running the CF DF, and I love it... I previously had a Ram/Zoom (can't remember which brand right now) clutch for several years without a problem (396/M20/3.42 and beat it regularly)... I needed a new disc for a tranny swap, and decided to step up with a new PP and flywheel...

Just make sure the clutch is compatible with your flywheel... Some clutch discs will not work with GM flywheels, and others will not work with some aftermarket flywheels... CenterForce WILL bolt to a stock GM flywheel (resurfaced of course)...
