Toad Jul 5th, 99, 11:30 AM I have a 70 Chevelle SS and I switched is back to a 4spd, the Hurst Competition Plus shifter I purchased is worn out, can I buy new shims to rebuild it? any suggestions? BillK Jul 5th, 99, 4:15 PM Toad, Is it the shims or the bushings that the shift rods go into ? I dont think I have ever seen one of those shifters actually worn out, but there is always a first time. Hurst does offer a rebuild service, but I dont know how much it is.
