Could somebody please look under the rear of the hood where the wipers are and look to see if the rear hood seal touches the cowl when it is closed on a 69 SS?
I replaced mine but it doesn't seal anything, it is about 1/4 inch above the cowl.

Touches on mine. I assume you're talking about the V shaped thing and not the cowl seal. Both touch on mine. The V shape thing stands up about an inch when the hood is open on mine.

I guess I'll throw that hard rubber round seal as far as I can then order the foam one.
Anyways I found a easy way to get the holes in the right place.
I ran a piece of 3/4 inch masking tape where the seal goes then punched holes thru the tape then transfered the tape to the bottom of the seal and marked the holes and then used a Leather punch to punch the holes.
