Hi- I posted over in the Heating cooling forum, but since its really wiring related, thought i would link and ask here as well...

Does anyone know what the diode thing is on the AC firewall box? I've removed the AC stuff, but am keeping the heater box & fan... do i need to keep it to keep the fan working? Or can I just cut the wires back & out of the harness?

I could be total off here .... But I think its a temp sensor . I thinkin it would kill the A/C compressor if it got to cold in the box.Maybe someone else will chime in

Yep that's what it is. If you don't have an A/C compressor you don't need the switch.
