HAving a problem with 70-72 cowl hoods(SS) without flapper. when shutting the hood the big brace that runs parrell with the fire wall is hittting the top of the cowl causing the rear of the hood to stick up. ANyone come across this yet? thanks!

Actually, yes, I ran into that. Mine was a factory cowl hood. With the rubber seal in place it stuck up high. Without it sits properly.

Thought maybe the fenders could be raised, but that would mean raising the doors, then the gaps between the doors and rocks wouldn't be right, and the body lines in the quarters wouldn't line up...in the end I just left the seal out.
