I have the Vent window assemblies out of the doors of my '67 2 door hardtop & want to remove the vent windows from the frames to polish the chrome & install the new rubber. I see that I can take the door side window channel off of that side of this frame, exposing the bent clips to take the rubber off around triangle shaped vent window, but how do I get the vent window itself out of the opening? I've loosened & removed the nut & spring from the bottom stud & that makes the window loose & able to pivot in the frame, but I don't see how to move it up or down enough to allow either top or bottom pivot stud to come out of the frame. I was tempted to destroy the old rubber to try to get it out, since I have the new rubber, but then when I put the new rubber in I'll need to know how to do the window install with the new rubber already installed then anyway. Hope this isn't too confusing. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks...Odie.

Odie. You will have to remove the lower rail of the frame by removing the rivets. I have an exploded view http://www.si.hhs.nl/~rob/images/scanned/234_dis_vent_2.jpg

Rob-- Thanks for the reply & info. I saw the screws at one end of the rail & rivets at the other end & thought there must be some secret to pivoting the window to get it out. While I have them apart I'll clean/polish the chrome & use a little POR15 on the unplated parts. I visited your site. It's COOL! I bookmarked it for future reference. I may be bugging you again as I try to get this thing back together during the next few months. I took most of it apart ten years ago, so I need all the help that I can get! Thanks again....Odie.
