Im wanting to replace my floor pan but i have a question about installing after cutting it out should i just put small take welds about every so many inchs and use calking filler to fill in the seam or should i lay down a straight weld all across the seam and grind it down the floor pan im going to use is going to be a full floor pan like this http://i6.ebayimg.com/03/i/02/47/a4/6c_12_s.JPG Let me know thanks

It'll be okay to do it like the factory did the spot welds, every inch to two inches. You'll have to drill the spot welds out with a spot weld cutter anyway, so you can weld it in by welding up the previously drilled out spot weld holes. But don't use caulk. You can get automotive seam sealer from any body shop supply store. Ask for brushable seam sealer.

Where did you get the complete floor pan? And can you provide a link? Thanks.

MedicTed,
Cars Inc. is usually pricey, but they carry an imported full trunk floor pan for around $90 for 68-72s, and a three piece floor for 64-67s ($150 total).

I'm interested in where he got a complete floor pan, like he showed in the picture. Not trunk pans. Everything that I've seen available has been either full sides or multiple pieces per side. Thanks.

The full floor pan is manufactured by Dynacorn and is made with good tooling. Also GM Resto Certified. In Canada, it is available for approximately $400 CAD which is close to $280 US.
The part Number you want 1964-72 is Dii-1462

Sorry Medic, misread the question.
Is $280 decent for a full floor?

Medic, check out NPD. I think they have them. They also have super deals on shipping (like free). The nearest on to you is in NC. Can't say enough good thinks about their sheet metal packing and shipping. My hood and quarters came to the house in PERFECT condition and it only cost me $14 to have them shipped.

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure I need to go the full pan route, but it's nice to know I have the option, if necessary.
