ok, i saw this thing on tv like 5 years ago. Some kinda of small bucket, full of sand or glass beads or something, that vibrates. You put bolts in it and they come out looking perfect.
what is it called? who makes them? where can i get one? how much $$$?
thanks guys,

I bought the most expensive one E Bay sells about 6 months ago and I wasn't pleased with the results. I left some relatively clean bolts in overnight and didn't think they turned out very well. I ended up bead blasting em. They've got several different mediums that come in the deluxe kit, but I didn't have much better luck with one than the other.
I also tried a set of tailgate strikers from the El Camino in it overnight, and it did somewhat clean em, but not to my expectations.

FWIW, the media used makes all the difference in the world. A friend of mine uses corn cob media with a small amount of a liquid polish compound (don't ask me what it is or where to get it, you'll have to do the legwork on that) and depending on what he's polishing, usually within 1-3 days whatever is in there comes out looking better than new. Some parts polish up to a near chrome-like finish.

Do a search for reloading supplies......corncob media is what most people use and they also sell a liquid polish that you add to the mix.....makes your brass come out very shiney!
