Can anyone tell me where I can find such a place?
I live in Canada but I am willing to drive to the east cost of the states.

I was told that Hobbyist - Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA was doing this kind of work. But I was unable to find an address or phone number.

I had my hood, deck lid, doors etc stripped/dipped at Redi Strip in Allentown, Pa.( great job )
They have 10 (or so) locations throughout the US and I think they have a location in Vancouver Can.

They have an ad in Hemmings which shows there locations...
BTW...I heard they chanced their name to Quick Strip.

Have you done a search on the net for "Chemical Stripping", "De-rusting", "Metal Cleaning" or "Caustic Metal Cleaning". Look in your phone book under "Metal Cleaning" or phone around to some autobody shops and see if they know of anyone doing it.
If you want to go that little extra step after stripping it you should look into having it Electrocoated when you are done. I know there are quite a few place in Eastern Canada that do this process. Just go to the PPG web page and ask for a listing of Canadian companies that do it and they'll send you a list, some of these companies also do stripping as well!!!!

There is a place in Chatham Ont. (between London and Windsor) that can do all your panels ,pieces parts but i'm unsure about the whole car. It is called A&A metal stripping, its real easy to find just off the 401 near RM restorations. Its the place they use and i just did all my parts and the price is resonable as well. Ralph

I used Redi Strip in Toronto about 13 years ago, I think they are still around only under a new name, check Toronto phone listings. They had big tanks and can do complete cars. Dave

i just used Redi- Coat 153000 Oakwood dr. Romlus Mich.48174 ph# (734)771-3190 talk to mark k. had my 1970 chevelle body, doors and misc. parts stripped and e- coated there, they did a good job. they look like new gm parts when there done .the turnaround time is 4 to 6 weeks.make sure when you take your stuff there you inventory it and take pictures just before you leve in case of lost or damaged items!my body cost $2500.00 doors were $125.00 each hope this helpes you!

Actually the name of the place is International Paint Strippers and you're right, they do an awesome job IMHO. Been doing business with them for about 15 years and have never had a problem with their workmanship.
