We have a '65 El Camino that we are restoring. After many calls to parts suppliers we have had no luck finding quarter panels it. Does anyone know if '65 Chevelle quarters can be made to work? If so what must be done to make the body lines match up? Any info on this topic will be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Roger

R.E. Yes, there are quarters available for the65 Elcos, but be for warned that the ones on the market right now are JUNK,CRAP and TRASH.If you do find one, try to buy it locally so you can return it once you compare it to your original. These quarters are all being made by only a few manufactures, probably all offshore and the stampings are grose. The body lines are blurry (not crisp like the originals) I have a 64 2dr wagon (same quarters) that I'm doing. I bought a new quarter only to be bummed when I compared it to original. So I posted the same question that you have now and got the same response from alot of people from across the country. These new quarters suck from shore to shore. I still haven't figured out what I'm gonna do. Probably make my own patch panels. Please spread the word if you find a supplier of nice new quarters.I'd buy.

Best of luck, Max

Coupe quarter panels would not work for your El Camino.
