: 66 COVERTABLE DASH REPLACEMENT BOBBET Mar 19th, 01, 10:15 AM IM IN STALLING THE 2 PEICE DASH REPAIR KIT ON MY 66 CONV. DOES IT MATTER IF THE DASH IS WELDED TO THE TOP OF THE REPAIR PANNEL, OR DOES IT HAVE TO GO UNDER THE REPAIR PANNEL.THE WINDSHIELD LOOKS LIKE IT WILL FIT FINE BUT IM NOT SURE ABOUT THE CHROME TRIM. rusty66 Mar 19th, 01, 2:05 PM Bobbet. The dash repair panel as I know it (1966 2 door HT) is a one piece replacement. The dash goes under this panel and is spot welded to it.
