Does anyone know where I can get a frame manual? Something that might have been used by a body shop to repair a damaged frame. Something that would list all the critical dimensions. I want to have my frame checked and straightened if need be, but the shop I am talking with doesn;t have any book going back that far. Thanks.

Andrew. My 66 chassis is described in the separatly available Body by Fisher 1966 Service Manual. You can find it at http://www.helminc.com or you could buy the Detroit Iron CD from the TC shop.

Thanks Rob, I actually have the 1970 Fisher Body Service manual, but it covers nothing about the frame. Is there another manual that goes along with this one that covers frames?

The frame dimensions are in section 2 of the Service manual.

Sorry guys, we must be talking about different manuals. My section 2 deals with lubrication of various parts like hood hinges and door hinges. Help?

Andrew, I will assume that you are working on a '70 model (because of your username). The manual I am using is the 1970 Chassis Service Manual. Section 2 consists of 8 pages with 5 figures of frame dimensions and 2 figures of body mount info. For some odd reason, the same manual for a '72 is called a Passenger Car Service Manual, so we can get a little bit of confusion on the exact name of the manual. So, I think that you need to get a look at a "Chassis" manual or a "Passenger Car Service" manual.

JWagner, Thanks for the info. I called helminc.com and they are currently out of stock on that manual. Anyone else know where I can find it, or anyone willing to scan and post the pages that I need, or maybe fax them to me? Your help is greatly appreciated.
