I replaced the forward edge of my dash panel in my 66, and the old piece had gotten thrown away. Does anyone happen to know how many molding clips go on the bottom piece of the winshield panel, and what the spacing should be. My assembly manual does not give me any info. on this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
THANK YOU !

Jet. I replaced this panel but wrote down the measurements before I removed the old one.
The number of studs is 7. The spacing is (from passengers side - where pillar cover will meet dash repair panel bow - to drivers side, center of stud, in mm ) 145, 300, 485, 715, 835, 1035 and 1210.
The distance between outer side of window to center of stud is 9 mm, which should leave 10 mm from center of stud to outer front of dash repair panel. This depends on : thickness of windshield (reproduction is thinner than original) as well as caulking behind window. This determines whether or not molding will be flush with edge of repair panel. Hope this helps.

Rob,
This info. helps alot, it was just what I was looking for. THANKS FOR THE HELP!. This is when attention to detail pays off. This is my first total restoration, and if I had to do over again there's lots of things I would have done differently. But then again this is how we learn. Thanks again!

Sorry to change topics here, feel free to e-mail me so as not to make for a chat room deal here.
