I have the original glass on my 70 chevelle and over time it has gotten scratched a bit. Most of the scratches are very shallow and swirled and look like someone tried to clean the glass with a brillo pad. Any suggestions on what to use for something like this? I went over it with windex and a flat razor and it had no effect. Thank you for any suggestions in advance.

My good friend who is a licensed bodyman has suggested good quality, fine grade, steel wool to me before - I have not tried it (yet) - He said it worked for him on his Nova... hope that might work - try a test patch at the bottom of the window below the visible area maybe. Good Luck

If you can get hold of some jewlers rouge, it works fantastic for surface scratches on glass.
Some glass shops might carry it or jewlery stores. A little on a soft cloth with a little elbow grease works miracles on glass.

If your fingernail gets "caught" when you run it over the scratch you'll need to replace the glass otherwise the polishes should work. Good Luck Pete
