can someone explain to me how to keep my trunk open i have a 70 malibu and when i open the trunk it doesnt stay up please explain in laymans terms LOL even a pic would help thanks :confused:

The trunk is held up by some "torsion rods" that are hiding under the rear package tray. You need to slide a small pipe over the end and pry it down to another knotch to give it more spring. There on both sides. Move one and see how the trunk feels........match it on the other side. I'm not sure if you need to go down a knotch or up a knotch.
