I partially installed my re-chromed rear bumper today on my 1965 Malibu. I installed the brackets first (loose) and then the bumper. Have one lower bolt to go. Is there any logical sequence to tightening everything up? There are the frame brackets, 2 bolts by the license plate, chrome bolts on the top, and the bottom bolts to the brackets. Just wondering if there is a method to getting everything tightened down?

I have heard stories about people not tightening up new (rechromed) bumpers properly and cracking the chrome off. I'd pay a call to your local bodyshop and ask those guys-maybe someone there would know.
