Well you need to remove the door panel, if not already done. :D
Now to remove that glass you need to remove the glass stops that are bolted on to the lower edge of the glass. these stops are in the front and back of the glass take a 7/16 socket to remove. Those stops prevent you from over rolling the glass and also prevent you from removing. Also you need to remove the angle adjustment pad or tension pad(or whatever you want to call it) it sits on the VERY top the door shell and will have some type of foam or fuzzy looking material surrounding the pad. The pad keeps the glass from rattling around well rolled up. This also takes a 7/16 socket. Now I like to also remove the two door panel support brackets on the front and back also simply cus they can scratch the glass if not carefull.
Now the glass is bolted the regulator with 3 bolts all 7/16. remove those bolts. Now if your car is ALL painted and put together then I recommend you remove the 3 bolt studs from the glass.
Ive yet to remove a glass from a 70-72 chevelle and not have to loosing the regualtor or those bolts on the glass. So if its painted all put together, then remove the bolts from the glass takes a 7/16 socket. If the car is in pieces, then its faster and easier to loosing the regulator. But then you will have to play around getting the track back in the same spot so the glass rolls back up correctly, were if you remove the 3 bolts from the glass you wont need too.
This method is what I do on 70-72 might be different on other years...Eric

To clean and polish those side windows try buffing them with some rubbing compound while their still in the car. It cleans um up like new! Those windows don't just fall outta there and there is a good chance of chipping your top of door paint while pulling and installing this, esp. if your not familar with the procedure.
