Hey all, my 70 Chevelle used to have a vinyl top, has not had it for some time I believe. Well, I noticed some bondo on top of the A-pillar on the passanger side and decided to have a look at what was hidden below. I got all of it out and was left with a good sized relief between the top of the windshield and the drip rail. I checked the driver's side and found the same thing. It doesnt look like it was rusted through, just looks like there is a piece missing. I'm at a loss....any ideas? Thanks, James.

That area under the filler is where the factory welded the A pillar to the roof metal. All vinyl top cars I have seen have this filler under the top.The factory usually didn't do a perfect job of smoothing as it was all going to be covered up and the vinyl hid a lot of ills.I used Metal2Metal filler to re-fill my seams in my car.Turned out real good and solid.Hope this helps. Don
