Im looking at buying aftermarket fenders for my '72 and would like to know which companies parts lined up better with the rest of the car. If you had particular trouble with a certain brand that would help also. Thanks

I bought repro fenders for my 70. Please email me for details about them, I dont want to violate Al's no bashing policy.
Needless to say, I wasnt happy.

From my own experience, aftermarket fenders are "turds" to get lined up half way decent no matter who sells them. NOS or used is your best bet.

I think all the 72 repro fenders are made bby the same company in Taiwan. I bought a passenger side and wish I spent the extra $$ for NOS. Wanna buy my repro when i find a decently priced NOS!!!?

Thats why I bought 6 fronts and 2 quarters for my 69 just before they were discontinued. My wife went nuts when the bill came so I have been working on the house the last month.

I know this is going to sound dumb, but what is NOS? I too need fenders for my '69, and want a quality pair the first time.

NOS means New Old Stock. Brand new from the factory that somebody got ahold of and held on to for years. Its original equipment. Probably the most sought after kind of part, and usually the most expensive, but will almost always fit perfect.

Thanks. I am on a budget of sorts (who isn't?) so I probably cant afford them, but thank you for the info.
