I am experiencing this same problem on my 66 Convertible as posted here

http://www.chevelles.com/forum/ultimatebb.php/topic/3/8553.html#000000.

Is it that I need to spend more time on them or is their something that I over looked? My problem is the top of the vent window hits the pilar post seal on the top, as if the vent window is too far tipped forward. I belive I have ran the window adjustments each way. I have all new seals on the vents and the frames, should the seal be flush with the top of the door?

thanks

Rick,

I just replaced the vent rubber on my 66 hardtop & had the same problem. It sounds like the adjustment that is out of whack is the one located on the hinge side of the door. You may need to loosen the nut & screw the threaded pin into the vent frame some more. This should give a little more adjustment. You may also have to loosen the other adjustments to allow the vent to rotate back away from the pillar post. It requires a lot of adjusting, patience, & more adjusting to get them right.
