Anyone removed the filler panel o a 66 chevelle that sits between the rear window & trunk area.
Do you have to melt the lead out & drill the welds?

Yes, I have. In the lower corners there is lead and copper brazing that needs removing, that is if you plan to weld the new one in.

Be sure to hold the surrounding panels in place and watch the curve at the trunk lid side when welding the new panel.
